North Coast
Pre-Primary
Our Pre-Primary recently held its much anticipated annual Family Picnic and what a wonderful evening it was.
The playground was filled with laughter, happy chatter and the joy of families spending quality time together. The picnic created such special opportunities for parents, children, and staff to connect in a relaxed and meaningful way outside of the classroom.
The children loved showing their families around their Pre-Primary space, playing with their friends, and enjoying the fun atmosphere. It was truly heartwarming to see our community come together - sharing snacks, conversations, and lots of smiles.
Preparatory
Valentine’s Outreach Initiative
On Friday, 13 February 2026, a group of our Preparatory students had the privilege of visiting Westbrook Retirement Village as part of our Valentine’s Outreach initiative.
It was a truly heart-warming morning filled with kindness, conversation, and connection.
Our students spent time sharing tea with the residents, serving biscuits and preparing tea and coffee with grace and enthusiasm.
They interacted respectfully and confidently, engaging in meaningful conversations and bringing smiles to many faces. It was beautiful to witness the empathy, patience and genuine care shown by our students throughout the visit.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our parents, we were also able to put together a thoughtful hamper filled with chocolates and biscuits for the residents to enjoy.
Experiences such as these remind us of the importance of compassion, service and human connection. We are so proud of our students for representing our school with dignity and warmth.
Pet Day
As we shared important values and knowledge about our families, Crawford International North Coast Pre-Primary students were encouraged to contribute an item dog or cat food, or old blankets for National Love Your Pet Day which took place on 20 February 2026.
These worthwhile goods were donated to Sables.
Sables is a non-profit organisation in Ballito that is committed to improving the lives of domestic and wild animals. They rely solely on donations.

Grade 8 Welcoming Assembly – Orca presentation
The Class of 2030 at Crawford International North Coast was officially presented with the school mascot (The Mighty Orca), during a special mascot presentation ceremony, marking a great milestone in their high school journey. This significant moment highlighted the beginning of their high school journey and their induction into the Crawford family.
The Orca symbolizes strength, unity, resilience, and school spirit; which the new Grade 8s embody as they proudly embrace their new identity. The ceremony was filled with loud cheers, big smiles, and an undeniable sense of belonging.
The Crawford North coast community is excited to see the achievements, contributions, and milestones that the Class of 2030 will undoubtedly accomplish in the years ahead.

Grade 8 Bonding Tour
On 23 February, the Grade 8's headed off on their very first high school tour, travelling to Nottingham Road for their Bonding Tour at The Golden Harvest Retreat. Over the two days away, students had the chance to get to know each other very well which was helped along by the fact that phones were only allowed for one hour each day!
Once at camp, the facilitators took over and kept the students busy with a variety of activities, all of which placed a strong focus on teamwork and figuring out solutions to problems together. These ranged from blindfolded dodgeball and archery to verbal and drawing games, as well as a fun icebreaker called Mingle. The Grade 8s also took part in leadership workshops led by Dave Allen, which encouraged them to think about teamwork, communication, and leadership in a practical way.
The students enjoyed hearty home-cooked meals and the excitement of sharing rooms with friends, which added to the overall experience. By the end of the tour, it was clear that the group had grown much closer and now know one another far better — a really positive start to their high school journey and something that will serve them well going forward.
