Africanarra Reggio Reading Extravaganza - A Day to Remember
Our students enjoyed a magical Reggio Storytelling Day exploring the themes of water, wind, peace, dreams, hope, wishes and the colour blue.
Through stories, discussions, art, and creative activities, they used their imagination, shared their ideas, and made meaningful
connections to the world around them.
It was an amazing day that celebrated literacy, creativity, and the wonder of learning.
Con Spirito - Our Dance Crew and Theatrix Teams Excelled
The Pre-Primary school culture crews put up a stellar performance during the first round ofthe 2026 Con Spirito competition, achieving outstanding results in all three the items theyparticipated in.

Grade 0's Enjoy "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" by Eric Carle
Our Grade 0 students recently enjoyed exploring the beloved story "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" by Eric Carle. Through this story, the children discovered that books can teach us much more than just reading skills, they can also help us learn important mathematical
concepts in meaningful ways.
After reading the story together, we explored the concept of symmetry. The students created their own beautiful butterflies, carefully decorating both sides to make them match. This activity helped them develop an understanding of balance and visual patterns while
encouraging creativity and fine motor skills.
We also investigated patterns through a colourful painting activity. Using balloons dipped in paint, the children created AB, AAB, and ABB patterns by stamping different colours onto paper. Patterning is an important early mathematics skill that helps children recognise
sequences, make predictions, and develop logical thinking.
Storybooks provide a wonderful foundation for learning because they connect new concepts to meaningful experiences. Through stories, children develop language, listening, comprehension, creativity, and problem-solving skills while also exploring subjects such as
mathematics, science, and life skills. By linking learning to a story they enjoy, children become more engaged and excited to discover new ideas.
Their beautiful butterflies and colourful patterns were a wonderful reminder that learningcan be both educational and fun.

Grade Two - Where We Are in Place and Time
The beautiful colourful beads, the warm and striking blankets, the wonderful outfits, and the delicious cuisine all came together as our Grade Two students put on an incredible show for their final summative task.
Family, togetherness, love, and culture were the central themes of our Where We Are in Place and Time unit.
Family is, after all, at the heart of who we are, and witnessing the love, pride, and connections shared throughout the day was truly a great experience. It was a wonderful celebration of heritage, identity, and the special bonds that bring us together.
Grade Threes Visit the Innovation Station
The Grade Three students had an amazing time visiting the Innovation Station! Using VR headsets, they explored different kinds of natural disasters in a fun and interactive way.
They watched a volcano erupt, experienced a live tornado, and discovered how powerful nature can be! They were filled with excitement, curiosity, and laughter throughout the visit. It was an unforgettable adventure full of learning and fun!
