Lunch Hour Concert
What a spectacular celebration of talent at our recent Lunch Hour Concert. Hosted by our dynamic Performing Arts Department, the event transformed an ordinary school day into an inspiring showcase of creativity and confidence.
Our students took to the stage with enthusiasm and poise, presenting a vibrant programme of drama, music and dance. From expressive theatrical performances to beautifully delivered musical pieces and energetic dance routines, each item reflected dedication, teamwork and a genuine love for the arts.
It was truly heartwarming to witness students supporting one another and sharing their talents so confidently with the audience. Moments like these remind us of the powerful role the performing arts play in building courage, nurturing creativity and strengthening our school community.
Well done to every student who performed, and sincere thanks to our Performing Arts Department for hosting such a memorable and uplifting event.
Preparatory
Kindness Day
Our campus lit up in yellow as we celebrated Yellow – Kindness Day; a special day dedicated to promoting anti-bullying awareness and spreading kindness throughout our school community. Students and staff added a touch of yellow to their school uniforms, standing together in a powerful reminder that kindness matters.
Whether through a smile, a helping hand, an encouraging word, or including someone who feels left out, every act of kindness makes a difference.
The day reminded us that we each have the ability to create a safe, supportive environment where everyone feels seen, valued and respected. Let’s continue to choose kindness, not only today, but every day.
Senior Phase Bonding Tours
Our Senior Phase students recently returned from unforgettable Bonding Tours held at various locations, each offering unique experiences filled with adventure, laughter, and meaningful connection.
Our Grade 7 students explored the breathtaking Drakensberg, where they embraced the beauty of the outdoors while challenging themselves through exciting activities. From soaring through the air on a thrilling zipline to taking in the spectacular scenery during a mountain hike, every moment was filled with energy and excitement. A particularly sweet highlight was their visit to a chocolate factory, where students discovered the magic behind crafting delicious treats.
Meanwhile, our Grade 6 students enjoyed an incredible four-day Bonding Tour at Camp WildSide, just outside Rustenburg. From the moment they arrived, the atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm as students eagerly took part in activities designed to inspire growth, teamwork, and connection. Highlights included a fascinating reptile show, an energising sunrise hike, and a fun-filled day at the iconic Valley of Waves at Sun City. Surrounded by the natural beauty of the Pilanesberg, students stepped out of their comfort zones, built confidence, and created lasting memories together.
Beyond the excitement of the activities, these tours provided valuable opportunities for students to strengthen friendships, develop teamwork, and foster a strong sense of community. Experiences like these play a vital role in building resilience, confidence, and meaningful connections that will carry our students through the year ahead.
College
Pen Outreach Experience
Our College students had the privilege of visiting PEN for an outreach experience that was both humbling and inspiring. Seeing them serve with kindness, enthusiasm, and care was a reminder of the positive impact young people can have in their community.
We are incredibly proud of the way they represented our school and embraced the opportunity to give back. Thank you to PEN for welcoming us and for the important work you do.
