Campus first day back
We are delighted to welcome back our Crawford International La Lucia students to campus. The energy, enthusiasm and sense of purpose felt across the school since our first day back marked the beginning of another exciting year of learning and growth.
To our students, we look forward to a year defined by academic excellence, personal development and meaningful experiences, all supported by a strong partnership between our school community and families.
To our dedicated teachers and staff, this is the start of another opportunity to inspire, guide and shape future-focused global citizens through passion, commitment and care.
We are proud to begin this new chapter together and wish our entire school community a successful and rewarding year ahead!
PREPARATORY
First Day of Grade 1
Our Grade 1 students experienced a truly special and memorable first day as they officially began their exciting journey into “big school.” The morning was filled with smiles, laughter, and a few happy nerves as we welcomed our children into a year of new adventures and learning.
One of the highlights of the day was our Guard of Honour, where the Grade 1 students proudly walked through to cheers, claps and words of encouragement. This beautiful moment helped them feel confident, celebrated, and reassured as they stepped into this important new phase of their school life.
The excitement continued at the photo booth, where students had fun capturing their first Grade 1 memories with friends and teachers. These joyful moments reflected the happiness and sense of belonging felt throughout the day.
To end the celebrations meaningfully, each child pinned a special wish to our Wishing Tree. Their wishes spoke of hopes for new friendships, fun learning experiences and personal growth, reminding us of the dreams and potential each student brings into Grade 1.
It was a heartwarming and successful start to the year, and we look forward to supporting our Grade 1 students as they grow in confidence, independence and joy throughout the year ahead.
COLLEGE
Outstanding Matric Results
In January, was our much-anticipated Matric Results Event for our Crawford International La Lucia College Grade 12's of 2025.
The students had received their results earlier in the afternoon and arrived with nervous excitement to find out who the Top Achievers were. An eruption of applause for the students who were awarded for being in the Top 1% for a subject, Top 5% Outstanding Achievements and of course the Top 10 resounded in the College Hall.
A special mention to our Top 3 for their outstanding results!
- 3rd in Grade: Shyla Jithoo, with 9 IEB Distinctions and a 90.69% overall aggregate

Grade 8 Bell Ringing Ceremony
Continuing the special first week back to school, our Grade 8 students also took part in a much-loved school tradition: ringing the bell to mark their first official day at the College. This symbolic moment welcomed them into the wider school community and signified the beginning of their journey as high school students.
With smiles, excitement and a sense of pride, each student had the opportunity to ring the bell, creating a shared experience they will remember for years to come. It was a meaningful way to celebrate new beginnings and to remind our Grade 8s that they are now an important part of our school’s story.
