World Book Day with Winnie the Witch
To celebrate World Book Day, our Grade 0 students transformed the classroom door into a whimsical Winnie the Witch display, with a cosy story corner and a touch of sparkle. The highlight was a special Storytime with our Deputy Principal, Mrs. Goodchild, who brought Winnie’s adventures to life. It was a wonderful way to celebrate stories, imagination, and the joy of reading.
Grade 000 Unit of Inquiry
In Grade 000, our focus is on how nature helps us express creativity. Students explored the difference between natural and man-made objects by sorting them into two groups. The lesson continued with a nature walk where students collected materials to create a picture, reinforcing their connection to the environment.
Grade 1 Creative Habitats
Grade 1 students used their artistic skills to explore the Sharing the Planet unit. Each student selected an animal to study and recreated its natural habitat on a beer box canvas. The results were inspiring, as the students transformed their boxes into jungles, oceans, deserts, and more, learning about the planet and the animals we share it with.

Grade 4 Cultural Experience
Grade 4 students visited Lesedi Cultural Village, where they learned about South Africa’s diverse cultures. Through exploring traditional rituals and customs, students gained a deeper understanding of the values that shape our nation. The trip sparked curiosity and respect for the many cultures that contribute to our country’s identity.
Grade 7 Leadership Celebration
We celebrated the leadership of our Grade 7 students in a special assembly. Each student received a badge recognising their commitment, responsibility, and service to others:
- White Badge: Social awareness and responsibility
- Black Badge: Responsible behaviour in lessons and school activities
- Red Badge: Contribution to the school or wider community
