Bring a loved one
Instead of confining love to just one day dedicated to mothers or fathers, the Crawford Family opens its arms wide, embracing the richness of love in all its forms through the "Bring a Loved One to School" event. This event is more than just a gathering; it's a testament to the inclusive spirit that defines the Crawford ethos. What sets "Bring a Loved One to School" apart is its inherent inclusivity. Recognizing that traditional celebrations like Mother's Day and Father's Day may inadvertently exclude certain family structures, the Crawford Family chose to create a space where everyone feels valued and appreciated. Parents, guardians, siblings, grandparents and close family were welcomed with open arms, alongside the staff and students.
Junior & Senior Soccer
The Junior Crawford Soccer Night Festival held last Friday was a tremendous success, bringing together many of our neighbouring schools' soccer players and their families for an evening of fun and sportsmanship. The event featured a series of friendly matches, all under the bright floodlights. The Grade 1-3 soccer players showcased their talent and teamwork. The festival not only celebrated the love for soccer but also fostered a sense of camaraderie.
In the heart of the bustling city, under the vibrant glow of floodlights, the Snr Crawford International Soccer Night Festival emerges as a beacon of unity, passion, and skill. This annual extravaganza has become synonymous with excellence in the world of soccer, drawing enthusiasts from far and wide to witness the magic unfold on the field. A huge thank you and congratulations to the school's Head of Sport, Mr Ryan Houbert. As the final whistle blows and the echoes of applause fade into the night, the legacy of the Crawford International Soccer Night Festival lives on. It serves as a shining example of the transformative power of sport, inspiring generations to dream, achieve, and unite under the banner of excellence. We are looking forward to the Jnr Soccer Night Festival coming up
Grade 7 Art Exhibition Day
In celebration of International Biodiversity Day taking place on 22 May 2024. The Grade 7’s would like to show the world that recyclables do not belong in the environment. Instead of throwing things away, why not turn it into a new work of art.
Crawford Pretoria Alumni Give Back
Not too long ago, we were sitting in Crawford assemblies, daydreaming about the future. Fast forward a few years, and we’re proud to be building something we believe can make a real difference - a social media platform called OffCourse?!
Founded by two Crawford Pretoria alumni - Thato Ramoshaba, Class of 2018 and Kabelo Morallane, Class of 2018. OffCourse?! was born from a friendship that started at school and a shared vision to make the internet a kinder, more uplifting place.
As we navigated university and life after school, we realized something troubling: social media, while powerful, was becoming a source of anxiety, comparison, cyber bullying and pressure - especially for young people. It often felt more draining than inspiring.
During lockdown in Cape Town, inspired by nature and reflection, we began experimenting with a website to share feel-good images paired with calming music. That idea eventually evolved into OffCourse?! Social - a social media platform designed for Gen Alpha and Gen Z, built to uplift, empower, and encourage authenticity.
Today, OffCourse?! is a social space where positivity is the norm. It’s a place for young voices to express themselves, be creative, and connect with others - without judgment or pressure. We’re building it to be everything the current internet isn’t; real, kind, and good for your mental health.
The values we learned at Crawford - independence, leadership, and creativity - are still at the core of everything we do. This school gave us the confidence to think big, and now we’re doing just that, together.
To our fellow students, alumni, and teachers: thank you for shaping us. We hope OffCourse?! becomes a space that reflects those same values and we’d love for you to be part of it.
