Pre-Primary
Pre-Primary and Foundation Phase Youth Day Celebration
Our Pre-Primary and Foundation Phase students had an absolutely wonderful time celebrating Youth Day with a fun-filled day of sport, laughter, and excitement.
From energetic races and team challenges to parent-and-child events and even an enthusiastic game of tug-of-war, the day was filled with smiles, cheering, and unforgettable memories. It was so special to see our students, parents, and staff coming together to celebrate the joy, energy, and spirit of our young people.
A big thank you to all the parents and teachers who joined in the fun and helped make the day such a memorable success.
May we continue to celebrate and nurture the incredible potential of every child.

A Special Visit for Our Grade 1s
Our Grade 1 students had an exciting and educational experience when they welcomed a real firefighter to school.
The children learned all about fire safety, including how to prevent fires, what to do in an emergency, and the important role firefighters play in keeping our communities safe. They loved seeing the firefighting equipment up close and asking lots of thoughtful questions.
A big thank you to our special visitor for sharing such valuable knowledge and helping our students become more aware of how to stay safe. We are grateful for the time, enthusiasm, and dedication shown to our young students. Grade 1’s had a memorable day of learning and discovery.
Grade 5 Creativity in Action
Our Grade 5 students recently put their creativity to the test as they designed and built structures of their own choice, exploring the theme How We Express Ourselves. From imaginative ideas to carefully constructed models, the classroom was filled with innovation, problem-solving, and artistic expression.
Each creation reflected thoughtful planning, originality, and a wonderful sense of curiosity.
We are incredibly proud of the way our students embraced the challenge and brought their ideas to life with enthusiasm and confidence.
Well done, Grade 5s! Your creativity truly shines.
Compassion in Action
As part of our Youth Day Outreach initiative, the Crawford International Pretoria community came together in a beautiful display of generosity and compassion by collecting items for Gratitude Bags, which were delivered to the PEN Head Office by our CSI Team.
This meaningful project gave our students the opportunity to honour the spirit of Youth Day by putting service, empathy, and kindness into action. As we reflected on the courage and sacrifice of the youth of 1976, we were reminded that today’s young people also have the power to make a meaningful difference in their communities.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our students, parents, and staff, we were able to donate:
- 274 bars of soap
- 70 packs of sanitary pads
- 76 deodorants
- 103 facecloths
- 181 toothpastes
- 145 toothbrushes
- 127 tubs of Vaseline
We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to this initiative. Together, we demonstrated the values of empathy, care, generosity, and community that make Crawford such a special place. As Anne Frank once said: “No one has ever become poor by giving.”
