Pre-Primary
Pyjama & Bookworm Day
Our little stars and a few fun parents and staff arrived in their quirkiest PJ’s, ready for a day of imagination and laughter. From superheroes to sparkles, our classrooms came alive with stories and smiles.
Students embraced their role as communicators, sharing favourite books and listening with care, while building social skills through collaboration and turn-taking.
To top it off, we warmed up with mugs of hot chocolate and marshmallows because cosy learning is the best kind of learning.
Grade 0s the Young Paleontologists
As part of our Unit of Inquiry, Where We Are in Place and Time, the children stepped into the shoes of real scientists this week. Armed with brushes and excavation tools, they carefully dug through sand to uncover “fossils” and bones, just like archaeologists and paleontologists do in the field.
After their discoveries, the children worked together to piece the bones back into a full dinosaur skeleton – building teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity along the way.
This hands-on learning experience not only sparked excitement and curiosity but also encouraged our students to think deeply about how artefacts and fossils help us understand people, animals, and the world from long ago.
Take a look at some of the fossil fun our young explorers enjoyed!

Which Jacket Are You Wearing Now?
To celebrate Women’s Day this year, we had the privilege of hosting the inspiring Nikki Bush for a powerful and thought-provoking talk that left us all feeling uplifted and empowered.
Nikki reminded us that every step we have taken, every experience we’ve had whether good or bad, has shaped the phenomenal women we are today. No lesson is ever wasted.
Through her vibrant presentation, she took us on a journey wearing five different jackets, each representing life lessons, challenges, and growth. From embracing change to staying relevant in an ever-evolving world, her words truly resonated.
A heartfelt thank you to Nikki for sharing her wisdom, and to all the inspiring women in our Crawford family who joined us. You are the heart of our community.
SLC 2025
Our students took the lead, sharing their learning, growth, and daily experiences with pride. It was a joy to see parents engaging with their children’s journey and celebrating their progress.
Thank you to our supportive parent community and our dedicated teachers who make it all possible. What a wonderful day of connection and celebration!

Crawford Cares
Take a journey with us on our Crawford International Lonehill College WESSA Environmental program and Braamfontein Spruit River clean-up last Saturday. What a great morning with plenty of teamwork, laughter, and the satisfaction of making a difference.
A message from the Cares Exec and CCL community outreach team.
“The river clean-up is a fantastic way to keep our community clean and welcoming. Every piece of trash we remove is one less threat to wildlife and one step closer to restoring our river’s natural beauty. Our local river is a lifeline for our ecosystem. Let’s protect it together”
Thank you CCL for always making a difference, and Ms McCracken for accompanying our students.
