Thursday, 20th of July marked our celebration of International Chess Day, commemorating the founding of the International Chess Federation (FIDE) back in 1924. This special day, proposed by UNESCO, has been celebrated since 1966, bringing together chess enthusiasts worldwide in a joyous spirit of unity and strategy.
As we reminisce about this special day, it is no secret that our school boasts a remarkable legacy of nurturing exceptional chess players who proudly represent South Africa. For the past 12 years, Crawford International Pretoria has been a consistent source of phenomenal talent, contributing outstanding players to the national team.

Crawford International Pretoria College Student Heads to Chemistry Olympiad in Zurich
Congratulations to Senthan Naicker, our Grade 12 student, for the well-deserved selection to represent South Africa at the International Chemistry Olympiad in Zurich which took place from 15th to 25th July 2023. This marks the first IChO in Switzerland, and we couldn't be prouder!


Ms Kruger Bags Another Qualification
Congratulations to Ms Andrea Kruger, a Crawford International Pretoria alumni and teacher, for obtaining her Bachelor of Education Honours in Computer-Integrated Education with distinction. She teaches Grade 4 – 7 learners about Innovation and Technology at Crawford International Pretoria.
After her Early Childhood Education undergraduate degree, she pursued post-graduate studies in Computer Integrated Education (CIE). Completing her Honours in 2022, she is now working on her Master’s degree. Well done, teacher Andrea! Your enthusiasm and knowledge are truly inspiring.

College Mandela Day
Our college students and staff had a joyful morning on Friday, July 21st, making delicious snacks and sandwiches for schools in Mamelodi and Diepsloot. Thanks to everyone who helped make this morning a happy one.

On July 18th, we had a busy morning making toys for charity in collaboration with ClothesTogood. Our students and staff were thrilled to spend our 67 minutes for Madiba. Many thanks to the wonderful parents who joined us, supporting and assisting in creating beautiful toys for those in need.
