Siza Umphakathi – Help the Community
On 8 August 2024, Crawford International Bedfordview celebrated Women’s Day with an inclusive event for students and parents. This year’s theme highlighted the school's commitment to nurturing responsible, respectful, and caring individuals.
Students from Grades 000-10, along with their parents, participated in creating toys from recycled materials in collaboration with Clothes to Toys. These toys will be distributed to children in need around Johannesburg. Students will also have the opportunity to deliver the toys personally, gaining insight into the impact of their efforts.
The day included a family picnic, further enriching the community spirit. The event was supported by generous contributions from the Bedfordview community, which will be used to purchase hygiene care packs for both males and females at the charities the school supports.
Grade 4-6 On Cue Theatre
This month, our Grade 4 to 6 students were treated to a vibrant performance by On Cue Theatre. The show offered a delightful blend of comedy and music, captivating both students and teachers alike.
Miss Harper even joined in, showcasing some dance moves with Prince Charming. The students were particularly impressed by the elaborate outfits, dynamic backdrops, and swift costume changes. Productions of The Phantom of the Opera and The Little Mermaid featured a modern twist that resonated well with the audience.
This performance has inspired excitement for our upcoming school concert.
